Android How to: Get the LG G3 Notification Panel on the LG G2

June 3, 2014 - Written By Alexander Maxham

The LG G3 was announced last week and many of us were excited about the device, which should be hitting carriers this month. The LG G3 features a refined interface, and everything has gone flat. Even the notification panel has gotten a bit of a makeover, which is what we’re going to talk about today. There’s a mod on XDA that allows you to get the LG G3 notification panel on your LG G2. Although it’s important to point out that it doesn’t work on the Sprint and Verizon variants (that’s the VS980 and LS980). You will need to be rooted, and be sure you grab the right zip for your ROM that you’re running on your LG G2.

  1. Download the mod .zip from this link.
  2. Reboot into Recovery
  3. Flash the zip
  4. Reboot
  5. That’s it!

For those that need some more visuals, we’ve got a video down below which walks you through the whole thing. If you have any questions, as always, you can leave a comment down below and we’ll do our best to assist you.
