Android App Updates June 13, 2014: Beats Music, Facebook, 1Password and More!


Beats Music updated to v1.1

Just yesterday, Beats updated their music streaming app to version 1.1. It's actually the first update since the service went live just a couple of months ago. It does have a rather large changelog for being a point update though. The Changelog includes, Landscape mode, Save offline downloads to an external SD Card, Transfer offline downloads between SD card & internal device storage, 'Find It' is now 'Browse' in the left hand navigation bar, Just For You recommendations are now even more refined and fresh, Improved playback, and of course Bug fixes.

Facebook Updates to Allow Untagging

This week, Facebook updated their app. No, they are still not on Android's design guidelines, but they have added the ability to untag yourself from posts and photos. Which is still pretty important. As you were unable to do that from your phone in the past, unless you logged into the site, instead of using the app.

Sony's Smartband SWR10 App got updated


Sony updated their SmartBand companion app in the Play Store. Which is great to see since the SmartBand is finally available in the US. It doesn't have a huge changelog, but here's what we are looking at, User movement sensitivity added for Auto night mode, and Tablet support added.


1Password hits v4.0
