Earlier this week, Android 4.4.3 began rolling out to various Nexus devices and even the Google Play Edition devices. We now finally have the OTA file for the Nexus 10, that’d be the Manta. The update takes you to build KTU84L from KOT49H, and will weigh in at around 72MB in size. For those looking for the download link, we have it at the bottom of this post. Who needs help sideloading the update to their Nexus 10?
Here’s how we sideload the update, via ADB to the Nexus 10. You’ll need to have the Android SDK installed. You’ll want to turn on USB Debugging in Developer Settings, and plug your Nexus 10 into your Windows computer. Now open a command prompt in the folder where the SDK is installed. Now type in “ADB devices” and make sure your device is listed. If it is, then you’re all set and ready to continue. If not you may need to change the connection on your device from PTP to MTP or vice versa. Now you’ll need to type in “adb reboot bootloader” and move the OTA file into the Platform-tools folder of the SDK. Once it’s copied over and your phone is in bootloader mode type in the command prompt “adb sideload <filename.zip>” and it should start copying it over. After a few minutes it should reboot and bring you back to Android 4.4.3. Now you will need to have your bootloader unlocked to be able to complete this.
How many of you out there have already updated to Android 4.4.3 on the Nexus 10? Let us know in the comments below how you’re liking the update.
