TripIt, OpenTable, and Foursquare Integration Coming to Google Glass

Ever since Google Glass was announced last year, we have been learning about all of the Google based apps that users will be able to take advantage of.  Google apps like Google Maps that will show you which direction you need to go, to continue on your trip.  You can also you Google Play Music to listen to your music, while you're on your morning run.  There are other non Google apps, like Golfsight, which will show you what you need to do to hit the perfect golf shot.  We knew that these wouldn't be the only apps that would be available for Google Glass. Yesterday Google announced that Google Glass will be available to anyone to purchase. They also announced new Glassware (Google Glass Applications) that will help those who travel. Now Google has announced previous travel applications, like WordLens, that allows you to look at words in a different language, and have them translated back to you in your language

The first Glassware app that is being integrated with Google Glass is Foursquare! The popular app that lets you check-in to locations is going to let you check into a location just by saying "check-in" and Foursquare will give you a list of places to check in at.  This gives you the opportunity to check in to a location, without needing to pull out for phone in the middle of a converstation you are having with a friend.  Another Glassware integration is Tripit! Tripit is a popular application that allows users to get every detail of their travel itinerary.  With the Glassware integration, Tripit will show you your flight information right in front of you with live cards, without having to stop, and pull out your device to check the information.  The last Glassware that was announced was Opentable integration. You will be able to browse nearby restaurants and make reservations for a restaurant that you like. If you have already made a reservation, you will have a card display with the information for that reservation.

These Glassware apps are all great applications and will be very useful in your everyday life while using Google Glass. We know there will be more Glassware apps coming down the line and I can't wait to see what they have to offer. Which popular apps would you like to see come to Google Glass?
