Toshiba Eyeballs The Budget Market With Their Upcoming Excite Go Tablet For $110

When it comes to Android tablets Toshiba isn't likely to be the first name you think of. They don't have a very big presence in the Android device market, but that might change with this new offering they are set to launch in July for those who might be on the hunt for a budget friendly Android tablet. The Toshiba Excite Go is a new tablet set to enter the budget tablet market at just $110, making this one of the cheapest Android tablets to run Kit Kat out of the box. Yes, the Excite Go will be running Android 4.4 kit kat when it launches, which is already an improvement over other competing tablets from various OEMs.

Keep in mind that this isn't the tablet for you if you're looking for something that can outperform most other devices, but if you're in need of something just to casually use and let others around the household use, you could do a lot worse for around the same cost and not have the newest software version on top of it. Alongside Android 4.4. Kit Kat the Toshiba Excite Go comes packed with 16GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot that carries support for up to 128GB card to expand storage space. It has a 7-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, and on the inside it's powered by the Intel Atom quad-core CPU so although it may not be the most powerful processor in its class, quad core should be enough to multitask a little and play the occasional game.

Battery life is said to last a good portion of the waking hours you'll be away from home, providing users with 7.5 hours of battery life on the Toshiba Excite Go from just a single charge which seems about standard, if you're going to use this thing to watch videos than expect to knock about an hour and a half off that last battery time, bringing life down to a flat 6 hours of use. The tablet weighs just 12.5 ounces and was designed with the idea of comfort while holding it one hand. If you shell out the $110 to grab the Excite Go, Toshiba is even throwing in Office Suite Pro for free, which is an office app bundle that normally costs $15. The tablet comes in a satin Gold Finish and what looks like a silver color. Look for this at select retailers come early July.
