Samsung must really like the Faux Leather back that they stuck on the Galaxy Note 3 last year, because we're seeing it on a lot of other devices of theirs. I'll admit, at first I didn't really like the back of the Galaxy Note 3, but after using it for a few weeks, I began to like it - although I prefer the black to the white, since the black is a bit softer. Since then, we've seen Samsung release a bunch of tablets and Chromebooks with this Faux Leather backing, now they have a new extended battery pack with the faux leather back. It actually looks really good, and definitely going to look different than any other battery pack out there.
The battery pack is on sale now in India for Rs. 3,599, but there's no word on it being available elsewhere. I'm sure they'll bring it over to the US pretty soon though. It appears to only be available in white at this point, but we do know Samsung will release it in other colors later on, like they do with their smartphones and tablets to get a few more sales. It's a 6000mAh capacity so it's enough to charge your Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy S5, and many other devices as well. Samsung has even included a retractable micro USB cable inside. It would go great with the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, or the Galaxy NotePro and TabPRO tablets out there.
It's great to see Samsung releasing battery packs, hopefully we see some larger capacity ones come out pretty soon, as well as in more regions. I'd love to see this one available in the US, but so far it's only in India. How many of our readers are looking forward to picking up one of these battery packs from Samsung?
