QuickClick Lands on the Play Store - Allows you to use your Volume Buttons for Different Tasks

QuickClick has just landed on the Play Store, and it's basically like Pressy, but it uses the volume rocker on your device. You can map your volume keys to take a photo, turn on the flash light, record audio, send a text message, make a call, and so many other tasks. I'm sure that QuickClick will have plenty more tasks available soon as well. It's a free app in the Play Store and it does not need root. Making this a pretty awesome app. Now I haven't used QuickClick long, but according to the reviews, it does do a small hit on the battery of your device. It'll probably be more noticeable on devices with smaller batteries than those with larger ones. It requires Android 4.0 and above, so that's ICS and up. Which is the vast majority of Android users. It's also only about 2.3MB in size making it a pretty small app.

Sequences can include up to 6 volume up or down presses, when mapping your volume keys for different actions, although I wouldn't want much more than one or two. It'll get confusing. Especially on the G2 when LG already has built in actions for pressing the volume keys. QuickClick is pretty easy to setup, basically open the app and follow the directions and you're good to go. It'll be interesting to see how far this goes though, as I'm sure we'll see more actions added to the app soon. Maybe a double press of the volume down key to open up Gmail or the Play Store? That would be pretty neat.

Have any of you heard of QuickClick before? Are any of our readers going to check it out? Be sure to let us know in the comments how you are liking this app. You can grab it from the Play Store here.
