Motorola made a pretty subtle little change to the choices of wood backs for the custom Moto X's made through Moto Maker. Prior to today, your choices were Walnut, Ebony, Bamboo and Teak. Now we have Rosewood, Ebony, Bamboo and Teak. Most people probably wouldn't even notice, but yes we now have Rosewood instead of Walnut. Which probably isn't a big deal, it's likely that Motorola ran out of Walnut so choose to replace it with Rosewood. Which is nice to see more wood choices available for the Moto X. It still costs the same price, which is $25 extra for a wood back. Which would set you back $374.99 on any of the four major carriers.
Earlier we saw that Motorola is testing out a 64GB Moto X, which we could see announced alongside the Moto X+1 or even silently pushed into Moto Maker soon. As the code is already there. A lot of people seem to think that a 64GB Moto X is not a smart thing to do for Motorola, but I'm willing to bet that the Moto X will remain on sale alongside the X+1 but at a lower price point. So you've got the Moto E, Moto G, Moto X and Moto X+1 all at separate price points. it means that Motorola would be hitting all the right notes in terms of pricing. And it should bring them some pretty big sales. As the Moto G has already been pretty successful for Motorola.
How many of our readers would be interested in a 64GB Moto X with a Rosewood back? Forget the 64GB, who wants a Rosewood back on their Moto X? I certainly do, let us know in the comments below.
