Electric Blue and Copper Gold Galaxy S5 Headed to Bell

We know the that TELUS is currently offering the Electric Blue and Copper Gold versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 in their online store since May 23 and less than two weeks ago we reported from a tweet from both Samsung and Rogers that Rogers would be selling the versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 "soon."  We knew it was only a matter of time before Bell started selling the bright and colorful Galaxy S5's as well - the wait is over and a tipster from our source has indicated that Bell will have the Blue and Gold versions for sale "effective June 5 and stores can start taking orders as of May 27."  The price should be the same as the current Charcoal Black and Shimmery White - $230 on a two-year contract or $700 outright.

The Black and White versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 are available across Canada at several carriers - Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Fido, Virgin Mobile, Koodo, MTS, Eastlink, SaskTel, Videotron and Wind Mobile - and there is no word on which carriers will get the two new colors.  There are also no sales figures available on how well the Galaxy S5 is selling in Canada, although Samsung reports that 11 million devices were sold during the first month...a 10-percent increase in sales of the previous Galaxy S4, however, the Galaxy S5 was launched in 125 countries versus 65 countries for the S4.

If not the truly exciting device that we were all hoping for, the Galaxy S5 has proven itself to be a solid performer with its 5.1-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution giving us 432 pixels-per-inch (ppi).  It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz, packed with 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage backed up with a microSD card slot to add an additional 128GB of storage.  The main shooter is a 16MP affair and the front-facing camera is 2MP for video chatting and the, ever-popular, selfie. The Galaxy S5 also includes a fingerprint scanner as added security for unlocking the device as well as making purchases via PayPal. Samsung has also decided to include a Heart Rate Monitor that ties in nicely with their S-Health App. And, of course, it is running the latest Android 4.4 KatKit out-of-the-box.

Please let us know on our Google+ Page if you are looking to pickup a Blue or Gold Galaxy S5...as always, we would love to hear from you.
