Sony Update the Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and the Tablet Z to KitKat
A whole raft of Sony devices have been updated to Android 4.4.2 this week and depending on which network you’re on around the world, you might already have the update on your device. The update brings a lot of the software found on these devices more in line with the Xperia Tablet Z2 and Xperia Z2 but the headlining feature is the new version of Android. KitKat brings with it a change to the statusbar, some security enhancements and support for the new SWR10 SmartBand as well. These updates are large and will probably vary depending on which Z you own, but the updates should be available for download now.
HTC One M7 Gets Sense 6.0 Update
HTC have been saying ever since the M8 was launched that the original One and other variants would be getting an update to Sense 6.0, bringing many of the same features from the M8 down to the original device. Now, the update has rolled out in Europe as well as in Asia to Dual SIM variants. In Europe, the version number you’re looking for is 5.11.401.10 and is almost 700MB. With some visual changes and refinements to the overall UI, there isn’t going to be too much of a difference, but it’s nice to get such an update either way.
