Amazon isn't supposed to be announcing their smartphone until later this Spring or Summer. But BGR has already posted some leaked photos, and now their back with another leak which shows off the tilt and 3D features of the phone. As you know the Amazon Smartphone has 6 cameras. There's two cameras on the back – similar to the HTC One M8 – and four on the front, one in each corner. Which is there for all the gestures that Amazon has built into the phone. Which we are learning more and more about these days.
We already have gestures and swiping, but now Amazon is going to tilting on their smartphone. While BGR hasn't shown off any new pictures of the smartphone, they did reference a bunch of use-cases for these tilt features. It sounds a bit like the tilt features on the Samsung Galaxy Round that was announced last fall. The Amazon smartphone has been rumored for quite some time and while the company has steadily been denying the rumors, we all know it's coming, eventually. This would complete their ecosystem, since they already have a few tablets, and a set-top box. Now all that's left is a smartphone.
You are able to tilt the smartphone in different directions to do different things. Amazon is planning on using this as a differentiator for their smartphone compared to the competition. The tilt features sound pretty awesome, but it's going to be interesting to see how they work in real life. Because in theory, they should be amazing, but that might be a different story once we get the phone in hand, which should be in the next couple of months, hopefully.
