Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit For Pre-Order on TELUS

TELUS subscribers can now pre-order the new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, the Gear 2 smartwatch and the Gear Fit fitness tracker - the launch date is still April 11, and the website alerts you to expect delivery 2-3 days from the date of launch.  It also states that:

Due to limited stock, we are accepting pre-orders on 2-year terms. Month-to-month purchases will be added as more stock becomes available.  Price of SIM will be added to the cart. 

The price of the new Galaxy S5 will be $229 on a two-year term and $730 outright.  The colors listed are the Charcoal Black and Shimmery WhiteThe Gear 2 will cost you $329.99 and the Gear Fit will run you $219.99 and both devices are only available in black. There are also various cases available on TELUS' website for the Galaxy S5 as well.

Selecting the Galaxy S5 automatically selects the TELUS SharePlus plan at a cost of $60 per month - this gives you Unlimited Nationwide anytime minutes, Unlimited Text, Pictures, and Video messages, and shared data up to five devices...although additional devices can be added in the store.  You then must pick one of five data plans - $20/month will get you 500MB - $25/month will get you 1GB - $30/month will up it to 2GB - $50/month gets you 4GB - $65/month gives you 6GB - $85/month tops out at 10GB.

The new Samsung Galaxy S5 is an evolution of last year's Galaxy S4 - it is basically the same look, but with upgrades all around.  The Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core 801 clocked at 2.5GHz is a huge step up over last year...and this is a true '801' with a faster CPU and GPU.  The display is slightly larger at 5.1-inches with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080p with 432ppi.  It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for up to 128GB of additional data storage.  The main camera was upped to 16MP and with only a .3 second Autofocus.  It is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, comes with a fingerprint scanner, a 2,800 mAh battery, and Android KitKat 4.4.2 KitKat.
