When HTC launched their latest and greatest, the HTC One (M8) they launched the device in a number of different colors besides the Gunmetal Gray you see above. So far, we have official confirmation that Glacial Silver and Amber Gold versions of the HTC One are coming to market later this year. However, that doesn't line up with HTC's strategy from last year which bought Red and Blue versions of the device to the market. I was particularly fond of the Red HTC One last year, and it looks like those who like the color red could be getting their hands on a red version of the M8.
As HTCSource is reporting, a Google ad has revealed that there's a red version of the HTC One coming soon. In a Google search, one user noted that one of the "sponsored results" at the top clearly read "Stealth Red" when talking about the new HTC One (M8). We're not quite sure that HTC would call two colored versions of their device "Stealth" so there's a chance this could be a type of some sort. However, the idea that they'll be releasing a version of the new M8 in a red color is very much something we can get behind. Not only because they did so last year, but because everyone seems to be selling colored versions of their smartphones these days, and HTC simply cannot afford to be left on the sidelines this year.
The new One is already a very pretty device in Gunmetal Gray, but a little color wouldn't go amiss and we're sure that a lot of users would like the opportunity to stand out from the crowd of gray metal devices out there. Sure, we have the white version of the M8, but that's pretty much the same deal as the Gray version and doesn't bring too much excitement to the table. Hopefully, we can see the HTC One launch in Red sooner rather than later, and that HTC have learnt carrier exclusives do not translate into more sales.
