Google Glass Getting Updated To Include Calendar Glassware Feature

Google Glass is soon to get a couple new features that will allow for even more capability with the headworn wearable tech. Earlier in the month Glass Explorers had their devices updated to Android Kit Kat, which brought the device forward to streamline the software with other current devices. Tons of updates and features have already been added into Glass since it became available to Explorers, and with no appearance of slowing things down, in the next few days or so Glass Explorers can expect two more new features to hit the device, one that opens up support for iOS devices to send SMS message notifications to Glass, and the more important feature, the Calendar Glassware.

The SMS feature is pretty straightforward, iOS users will now be able to receive SMS messages on Glass, however responding back is not an option. This is caused by software limitations according to Google, but at least those Glass Explorers who do use an iPhone can see the incoming messages they get. The Calendar Glassware feature coming soon will let you interact with and view your calendar events and entries. So if you want to access the Calendar Glassware you can find the feature in the My Glass tab once it goes live later this week, and not only can you see your agenda to the left of the homescreen, but you can tap on any calendar card to modify bits and pieces of it if you need to, like the title of the entry, the calendar event time, location of the event, and RSVP to an event. Calendar Glassware will also let Glass Explorers dismiss the calendar events from their timeline, or delete the event entirely if they just want to get rid of it.

Look forward to these features very shortly if your an owner and operator of Glass. While using Calendar Glassware may not be something that is used often by everyone, it's nice to finally see the option and functionality in there for users to change things about their calendar hands free. Do you find this new feature coming to Glass useful? Would you use it more than changing calendar info from your device?
