Google Begins Mother's Day Sale; Books and Magazines for Half Off

Looking to get your mother or that special woman in your life who just so happens to be a mother something nice for Mother's Day?  Even though Mother's Day isn't until May 11th you can jump on the bandwagon right now and grab something nice for her thanks to Google's Mother's Day sale, which actually started today.  While it's a month early the sales are here to stay for a while so that you'll be able to take full advantage of them.  This isn't the usual app sale either, it's made up completely of books and magazines.  There's around 2 dozen books for half-off, many of which are best sellers like The Goldfinch and are available for just a few bucks since they are half off.  These books are offered through Google Books which means you can read them on pretty much any device out there including your phone, tablet or computer.

What's more is that there are a selection of around a half dozen magazines offered for $5 off a yearly subscription price, making each magazine around $2 per issue.  While the Nexus 7 is prominently featured on the sale page, it doesn't appear that Google has actually placed the tablet on sale for this promotion, rather is just trying to get it front and center to read these books and magazines on.  Why not too, since the tablet is super cheap as it is and is easily the best smaller tablet you can buy.  If you're actually looking to get the Nexus 7 on the cheap check out the sale going on at Amazon right now which will get you a 16gb Nexus 7 for $199 and a 32GB Nexus 7 for $239.  Google may or may not be adding more items as time goes on, given that this sale looks to be going on for at least a month until Mother's Day actually hits.  Don't want to buy the items individually?  Maybe a Google Play gift card is the better gift for your mom instead.  Hit up the source link below for the sale.
