Yelp Beta Program Live on Google Play, Join via Their Google+ Community

Yelp helps you to find what you need when you need it. Whether it be a business or an eatery. If you are used to using the Yellow Pages or any other method for looking up businesses, you will find that Yelp does an excellent job of finding places for you. Yelp has been around since 2004 and started as an email service letting people exchange business recommendations. It introduced social networking, discounts and mobile applications after it began gaining popularity. Google, Inc. even began looking to acquire Yelp back in 2009 but the venture didn't work out.

Yelp has been around on Google Play for a while now and is a top developer with over 10 million installs and a 4.4 average user rating. That's pretty good for a business search app. The size of the app is variable to the type of device you are using and the app looks great. Why download this app? With the help of the Yelp app you can look for businesses, gas stations, eateries, etc. that are near you. You can tap quick links to find nearby places to go. You can take a look at reviews to see what is cool in your city. Yelp can help you find deals that are offered by your favorite sports that you frequent as well. And just like some other apps you can look up addresses and/or phone numbers for businesses and either call them or map them out so you can drive there. If you have a Twitter or Facebook, you can check in and share on those social networks. If you have an open table account, you can make a reservation without even leaving the Yelp app.

So if you like the Yelp app already, and you like to test beta programs, then you are in luck because he helped have now opened their beta program on Google Play. If you're interested in testing out the Yelp Beta App all you have to do is go to the Yelp beta program Google+ community and request to join. From there you will have access to an opt-in link that will allow you to download the app and start submitting feedback. Just like other beta programs you will have access to new features before everyone else so that you can test them out and tell the developers what is and isn't working. Just a note, you can opt-out if you want to later. So, if you change your mind, you can stop being a part of the program.
