Samsung has just announced via press release that they are putting their new products - announced at Mobile World Congress last month - on preview in nearly 1400 shops around the world. They will be showcasing the new Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Gear 2, and Samsung Gear Fit. Interestingly enough they are not showcasing the Gear 2 Neo, which I also noticed isn't being talked about too much with the carriers either. Samsung isn't just putting these in their own stores, which are mostly in Europe, either. Here's what they had to say in their press release:
"The global preview takes place at Samsung Experience Stores, mobile carrier stores, and key retailer stores across 61 countries. Beginning with the United States and Switzerland on March 21, the special first look experience will be expanded to the remaining 59 markets including Brazil, China, Germany, and United Kingdom."
Now this is a pretty awesome idea from Samsung. Not only will customers be able to check out their new devices before it's time to buy one. But they can also get help from "Galaxy Specialists" which will be on-hand at participating stores where these devices are being shown off at. These Galaxy Specialists will be able to answer any questions customers may have.
As we reported this morning, both AT&T and US Cellular already have the Galaxy S5 and Samsung's wearables up for pre-order as of this morning. T-Mobile has pre-orders starting on Monday, and Sprint hasn't yet announced their plans - at the time of writing this. All of which appear to be shipping out for arrival on April 11th, which is when Samsung said the Galaxy S5 would be available in 150 countries. So launch day is quickly approaching.
How many of you are going to stop by a Samsung Experience store, carrier store or a key retailer to check out the Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear 2 or Gear Fit? Let us know in the comments below.
