OUYA No Longer Requires Devs To Attach Free Demo Of Content Submissions
One things that was a pretty big push for OUYA when it started was that it would allow gamers to try out every single game for free before they bought it. Literally every single game had a free demo that allowed you to play a portion of the game, so you could get a nice little test to see how things played, like controls and gameplay and such. Now, along with a few of the other changes OUYA has been announcing to the way it will soon be handling things, developers will no longer be required to submit free demos along with the games they make for the OUYA console. This is good for the developers, but could end up bad for the gamers, who might have chosen to stick with OUYA because of the fact that they could try things for free first. OUYA and the developers have every right to want to make the demos optional, but how will it fare ultimately in the end?
