In the market for a new tablet and looking for something that can be considered a good deal? Time to check out the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and the other Kindle Fire tablets, as Amazon has just posted that their line of Android powered tablets will be on sale for a limited time. It looks like Amazon is giving consumers deals to promote march madness. The Kindle Fire tablets we're already a decently priced set of devices, but now they're available for even less. Starting with the Kindle Fire HD, this tablet is getting a $20 discount from Amazon, making it come in at a cost of $119.99. That's not bad for a 7-inch display with at least 8GB of space and a dual-core processor. Second, Amazon is slashing $30 off the Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch tablet, which makes it come in at a cost of $199. Normally the cost is $229.99. Lastly, is Amazon's Kindle Fire HDX 8.9-inch tablet, which gets a discount of $40 off, giving this tablet the most money savings, but it's not the least expensive one obviously. So instead of paying the full cost of $379.99, you end up walking away with it for $339.99.
These prices aren't bad, and even if they could be a little better we can't complain as any discount is still a discount. The tricky thing is that Amazon hasn't listed any sort of time frame for how long this sale is going to last. Like we said it's a limited time promotion which is all that Amazon has listed. So, if you're in the market for a new tablet, a tablet for your kids, for a family member, or a back up for yourself, you definitely want to check these deals out before Amazon shoots the prices back up or loses stock.
Each tablet runs a version of Android, but as many of you already know the Android firmware that is built into the Kindle Fire devices is Amazon's own closed ecosystem. That means you have access to hundreds of thousands of apps just like a regular Android device, but they're all from Amazon's app store. This deal comes at a great time as Amazon looks to be possibly getting ready for some sort of new service or product coming up in the near future, as evidenced by the invitations they have sent out about an event on April 2nd.
