The Nexus 7 is far from a new device, having been out for over six months. However the long awaited LTE variant from Verizon has yet to hit store shelves or the online website and become available for customer purchase. Thanks to Droid Life and some close VZW sources of theirs, we have an idea of when Verizon may start selling Google's latest Nexus tablet. Word is that the LTE Nexus 7 will be available for customers to buy starting sometime next week, and most likely it'll be just before Valentine's Day. The day before to be exact. At least, that's what it's looking like. So far we have no real detail stating that's the day it will show up, but it's beginning to look more and more likely.
If you're a Verizon customer you may already know that the largest wireless carrier in the U.S. has given many reasons(we call them excuses) as to why they weren't selling the tablet, ranging from certification issues to pointing the finger at Google. Most or some consumers probably cried foul, and knew Verizon was perhaps just dancing around the idea of commitment with the device. Since the LTE version of the tablet has been available for some time, it's also been workable on Verizon's network for some time, and even though not available directly through Verizon, that doesn't mean consumers weren't able to acquire one and use it on their network.
All that seems like a distant memory of sorts now as we're nearing the supposed release of the Nexus 7 on Big Red, and should it actually show up on Feb. 13th, it sounds like a perfect Valentine's Day gift for that special someone who has yet to have a tablet to call their own. This could only be a viable option if it's able to be purchased in stores, which we have yet to hear details on as well. If you're someone who has been wanting to pick this tablet up directly through Verizon you may finally be getting your chance, and soon be able to enjoy the fruits of all that Kit Kat has to offer.
