Samsung's not done with their Galaxy S4 yet, even though they are announcing the Galaxy S5 in the next couple of weeks. Just last month, Samsung announced a leather backed Galaxy S4 in Russia. And now we're looking at the Galaxy S4 LTE-Advanced with a leather back coming to Korea. The Galaxy S4 in Russia still has a Snapdragon 600, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display. BUt they are selling the leather backed Galaxy S4 in black and white still.
The black edition still has the faux stitching along the edges and the speaker opening on the back. However, this is the LTE-Advanced model of the Galaxy S4 which supports faster LTE networks, it also has the Snapdragon 800 processor which is the same processor in the Galaxy Note 3, Xperia Z1, and many others out there. The LTE-A models will be available in 3 colors which include Deep Black, Rose Gold Black and Rose Gold White.
So now, if you're in Korea you'll be able to get a Galaxy S4 with similar design as the Galaxy Note 3 right now. Which many Galaxy Note 3 users out there are fans of the faux leather. Although you could probably just replace the backplate of the Galaxy S4 and get the same look and feel as this new faux leathered-back Galaxy S4 in Korea.
It looks like Korea gets all the cool stuff. Not only do they have the Snapdragon 800-powered Galaxy S4, and now the faux leathered-back Galaxy S4, but they also get the Galaxy Round, which Samsung isn't planning to bring out of their homeland of Korea. Which probably tells us that it's a pretty early device, and still needs more work. Which sounds pretty plausible. How many of you would love to pick up a Galaxy S4 with a faux leather back?
