Google Play Has Completely Sold out of the Red Nexus 5 - More on the Way?

Just last week, Google made the bright Red Nexus 5 official. And over the weekend Google sold out of both the 16GB and the 32GB models. Which makes us wonder if more are coming or not? We did know that the red version was a limited edition, so we aren't surprised that it's sold out already. Hopefully we'll see more hitting the Play Store soon. If not, we'll see them pop up on sites like Swappa, eBay and Amazon with quite the markup.

The red Nexus 5 is a great looking device, much like the white one, it has a red earpiece in the front, which looks so good, it definitely stands out. it's also made of the same material as the white one, except the sides doesn't have the glossy plastic, instead those are red - except for the power button and volume rocker. We were thinking that this was made available for Valentine's day, so it's likely that it's out of stock for good, but I'd love to see more show up.

Let's see if Google will put out more colors of the Nexus 5. We had heard through a leak last month that the Nexus 5 would be available in a slew of colors soon. But in all the leaks since then, all we've seen is the red Nexus 5 which became available last week and is now sold out. The Nexus 5 is a great deal, at just $350 for the 16GB and $400 for the 32GB. It features a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2300mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat on top. It's a pretty good phone, especially for the price. It makes me sad that it's not more mainstream, but maybe that'll change in the future.

How many of you were able to pick up a red Nexus 5 from Google Play before they were sold out? Let us know in the comments below how you're liking your red Nexus 5.
