AT&T Shows us the LG G Flex in New Video - Doesn't really Show Us Anything New

Back at CES, we learned that LG was bringing their G Flexinto the US on three out of the four major carriers. Which makes that AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. With Sprint pre-orders going strong and now AT&T pre-orders starting up on Friday, AT&T decided to make a LG G Flex device launch video. But does AT&T really tell us anything about the G Flex that we didn't already know? Well not really.

The LG G Flex features a 6-inch curved OLED 720p display. And AT&T's not afraid to say that this is the first AT&T curved device. Which technically it is. I know the Galaxy Nexus had a curved device, but that was not an AT&T device. They also talk about the power and volume rocker being on the back along with the Knock On feature, which was one of my favorite features of the LG G2 when I reviewed it late last year. The LG G Flex also features a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 3500mAh battery inside. It is a pretty large device, but there are those that love these large screen devices.

LG also has the self-healing back, which doesn't really work as well as we'd like, but it does work. Of course, you'll want to keep in mind that this is a first-generation technology, so it's only going to get better. Now the LG G Flex does have a lot of features, that some would call "gimmicks", but they are cool to have. The pre-orders for the AT&T LG G Flex pre-orders open up on Friday, January 24th. It starts at $299 for the 16GB version on a new two-year contract. No word on off-contract pricing yet, but I'd expect it to be around $600-700 for this one.
