The Nexus 10 has never really leaked out a lot. Even the original one, last year, didn’t really leak out much. Especially when you compare it to the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 of last year, then the Nexus 5 this year. Heck, an entire Nexus 4 review popped up online before it was announced last year. We were all expecting Google to announce the Nexus 10 alongside the Nexus 5 back on Halloween. But that wasn’t the case. Since then we’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors about when the next version would be available. We’ve even seen it leak out onto the Play Store, once or twice.
So far there’s nothing concrete about when it’s coming, but there’s a new report claiming that tomorrow is the launch day. Yes, Cyber Monday is the launch day for the new Nexus 10. So take this with a huge grain of salt, actually you may need a whole truck of salt for this one. We don’t even really know who the manufacturer of the Nexus 10 is right now. We’ve heard rumors of it being Samsung, ASUS and LG. Although there have been many more rumors about ASUS making the Nexus 10 than Samsung or LG. Although I think I’d love an LG-made Nexus 10. And supposedly, Sundar Pichai confirmed it during the Nexus 7 event in July that Samsung was making the new Nexus 10 and it would launch with (at that time) Key Lime Pie, which is now KitKat.
The theory behind this rumor, is that the manufacturer might be having issues with building up stock for the tablet, and wanted to avoid the buying rush of Black Friday. Still sounds kinda fishy, but then the Nexus devices are always sold out. Anyone remember the Nexus 4 and 10 launch last year with the 12 week shipping time? Yeah, that was pretty insane. Anywho, if this rumor is true, we should find out everything tomorrow, and see plenty more leaks between now and then. Let’s cross our fingers.
