The Galaxy Note 3 is a pretty popular device. After all it has sold over 10 million units in just 2 months. Not bad Samsung. It’s also available on just about every carrier. Today, we’re going to bring you about 5 custom ROMs for the Galaxy Note 3 that are worth checking out. It’s important to note that these are for the GT-N9005, that is the unlocked Snapdragon 800 variant. Not the Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T or US Cellular version of the Galaxy Note 3. We’ll cover those later on.

BoBCaTROM v2.0

BoBCaT ROM is a pretty cool ROM that’s available for the N9005. Most of the ROM has been themed, so if you’re tired of seeing Touch wiz on your Galaxy Note 3, this is a good ROM to check out. As you can see in the images above, it almost looks like Stock Jelly Bean, but not quite.

FoxHound Diamond Dogs v1.2

This ROM uses the Aroma Installer so you can choose all kinds of things when setting up the ROM. Like choosing between the Foxhound black theme, or Samsung’s Touchwiz. There’s also the choice between the Google and Samsung keyboard and camera’s. As well as choosing stock of Faux’s kernel. On install you can also choose between Nova Launcher, Apex, or Touchwiz. Which is pretty cool as well.

Crash ROM v2

This one also uses the AROMA Installer and has the Xposed Framework, which is probably a big deal to a lot of the modders out there. Some of the other features include call recording, 4 ways reboot, full color/transparency customization for status bar and notification drawer elements, secure Samsung keyboard, option to keep “add Call” button with call recording menu and much more.

Sweet ROM v5 MK2

Sweet ROM is a ROM that was available for the Note 1 and 2, and is now available on the Note 3. There’s not much themeing involved with this one, but it does have Xposed Framework, so you can theme to your heart’s content. It’s pretty much just stock Touchwiz otherwise.

Omega v4.0

Omega 4.0 is based on firmware XXUDMJ& which is Android 4.3. For the most part it’s just stock Touchwiz with a few changes. It includes the stock kernel, busybox, init.d support, Aroma installer, option to backup efs partition during rom’s installation, option to full wipe from aroma installer and much much more.
