Galaxy S4 Mini Gets Galaxy Gear Support on Verizon with Android 4.3 Update
That’s right folks, the latest Samsung device to have a Verizoned home button is now compatible with the Galaxy Gear, thanks to an update to Android 4.3. The device hasn’t been available on the network for that long but, it’s already getting an update to Android 4.3. Aside from some tweaks and enhancements, this update brings support for the smartwatch from Samsung and should have already rollled out to your device, you can read more here.
Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra Get Updated to Android 4.3
Sony’s latest flagship and giant smartphone, the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra have been updated to Android 4.3. Aside from a few tweaks in the background, this is more of a maintenance release bringing things up to Android 4.3. The main feature here is some updated camera stuff and the introduction of themes. Samsung Galaxy Note II Gets Updated to Android 4.3 on AT&T
That’s right folks, at long last AT&T is catching up to everyone else and treating their Note II users to Android 4.3, and yes, Galaxy Gear support. The OTA should bring your device up to version I317UCUBMK6. We’re assuming this is sizable update so, bet to pull this one down over WiFi. Sony Z Ultra Gets Android 4.4.2 and Some Much Needed Bug Fixes
New devices aren’t perfect and the recent Sony Z Ultra Google Play device certainly proved that to us. The stock Android version of the Xperia Z Ultra launched with some pretty interesting bugs, including the inability to uninstall any installed apps. Needless to say, these bugs have now – thankfully – been squashed in this update to Android 4.4.2. Which is pretty great for you early adopters out there, the update should have hit your device by now but, if not you can download it directly from Google if you’re feeling adventurous.
Verizon’s LG G2 Gets Bug Fix Update
Verizon is on a little bit of an update streak right about now, and the LG G2 is getting a little love, too. This update takes the G2 up to VS98012B and includes the enhancements above. This isn’t KitKat, that’s not coming for a while but, it’s nice to see Verizon taking care of G2 users. You can read more on the update here.
HTC Butterfly S Gets Update to Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5
HTC’s upgrade to the original Butterfly bought with it a lot of software features from the One but, this latest update brings Sense 5.5 and Android 4.3 along for the ride. Obviously, this is only rolling out in Asia right now but, it should be hitting devices there soon. Infamous HTC ROM developer @LlabTooFer tweets a changelog for interested parties.
Motorola Treating Moto G Owners to Android 4.4 Early
When Motorola announced that the Moto G would be getting an update to Android 4.4 in January, that was an impressive enough but, they surprised all just yesterday by announcing that the update is rolling out right now.
