Android Holiday Gift Ideas Day #13: MOGA Pro Power Controller

For those that are looking for a nice gift for the Android gamers out there, MOGA has a great controller which we reviewed when it was released about a month or so. The MOGA Pro Power is a great controller that connects to your phone or tablet and plays some games. There are many MOGA Pro Power optimized games out there like Asphalt 8 and Dead Trigger 2. The MOGA Pro Power actually feels a lot like the Xbox controller, which will make it feel more natural for gamers, which is nice to have.

The MOGA Pro Power also has a pretty big battery inside which allows you to go ahead and charge your phone while you're playing. Although I did find that with some phones like the Galaxy Note 3, it doesn't charge it quick enough to make it worth it. For example, I was playing Asphalt 8 on the Galaxy Note 3 and had it charging off of the controller, but I was still losing battery life. It's got a 2200mAh battery inside, which will last quite a long time. It's also compatible with Android 2.3 - Gingerbread and above.

For those that want to use this controller with your tablet, it does come with a nice tablet stand. Which I use constantly to play games on my Nexus 7. It's a really nice addition to this great controller. Although I wish they included it with all their controllers and not just the MOGA Pro controllers. You can easily set it up by downloading the Moga Pivot app from the Play Store. Then you can just follow the directions to set it up and you're all set. It's just that easy. The Moga Pivot app also shows you all the games that are optimized for MOGA's controllers. Which is pretty cool. And there's plenty of games available in there.

How many of you have used any of MOGA's controllers? They also have one for the iPhone that's coming soon. Let us know in the comments below.
