LG’s G2 has received quite a bit of fanfare over the past month or so since it launched, and for good reason too. First off it’s one of the most unique smartphones out there, sporting not only a huge 5.2-inch display on a body the side of a normal sized smartphone. It’s also got a one-of-a-kind button setup, where the power and both volume buttons are located on the back of the device instead of on the side. We loved it in our review, and it’s easily one of the best phones on the market right now without any question. If you’re on Verizon the phone is slightly different than on other carriers, and that has to do with a number of things. First off the buttons on the back feel different, and are smaller in general. This makes the phone a little more difficult to use than the standard layout does. Then there’s also the fact that you can only get the LG G2 in black on Verizon. Well thankfully that last part looks to be ending soon, with a white G2 leaked by the famous @evleaks on Twitter.
As anything leaked in the industry, this is subject to change and possibly not even being released. The @evleaks crew is incredibly accurate, however, and has a number of industry insiders that almost always get it right. Since this is just a color variation, the likelihood of it being released is pretty high. According to the leak Verizon will be carrying the white G2 in just 2 days, on Thursday November 14th. No word on pricing changes, so expect the current price of $149.99 on a 2-year contract to stay the same as it is. You’ll notice from the shot that all the proper Verizon logos are in place, and it appears that LG is using a faux-metal finish on plastic for the buttons and the camera ring. Still this is one of the best phones money can buy right now, so if you’re on Verizon and want the white LG G2, the wait is nearly over.
If you’re unfamiliar with the LG G2, know that it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, which is the fastest mobile processor on the market right now. It’s also got 2GB of RAM inside for fast multitasking, and the Verizon version comes with 32GB of internal storage space. It’s also got the arguably best screen on the market, a Full HD 1080p 5.2-inch display on the front, and sports a 13 megapixel camera on the back with optical image stabilization. Last but certainly not least it packs a rather amazing 3,000mAh battery inside its slim chassis, which means you’ll easily get through a full day without having to charge no matter what you use the phone for.
