Motorola has really been going after the competition lately. Mostly with the Moto G. For any of you who watched the announcement from Brazil, you'll know that Motorola called out Samsung and Apple pretty much by name. Then released the Moto G for $179. Which for a phone under $200, it's a darn good phone. But now back to the flagship Moto X.
Motorola is kicking off Cyber Monday with a huge deal on the Moto X. For Cyber Monday they are offering $150 off the off-contract price of the Moto X. This includes Moto Maker and the Developer Edition versions of the phone. Motorola does say that supplies will be limited, which is pretty much a given.
So let's see, you can get a phone from Motorola with all day battery life (and then some), with Active Display, Touchless Control, and the ability to customize how it looks? What else could you ask for. If I hadn't picked up the Nexus 5 just a few weeks ago, I would be buying one of these Moto X's right now. The Moto X I wanted is the one shown above. But I think I'll be waiting for the next iteration of the Moto X to pick one up. I really loved the device when I reviewed it earlier this year. In fact, the only downside I found was that it was on Sprint's network, which isn't the best in my area.
Oh and on top of all of that. The Moto X already has Android 4.4 KitKat. The only non-Nexus device to sport KitKat. Which is a huge deal. So if you're lookign or a new phone, you're going to want to head over to Motorola's site now and grab the Moto X as soon as possible. This basically means that Moto X is the same price as the Nexus. And as much as I'd hate to say this, I'd choose the Moto X over the Nexus.
