Internal Best Buy Listing Shows Sprint Nexus 5 Will Be On Sale for $799

A user over on Reddit has posted a screenshot of a internal listing from Best Buy regarding the Nexus 5 on Sprint. It actually shows the price of what the Nexus 5 on Sprint would be off-contract. And man it's not pretty. I'm sure that this isn't going to be the final price, but just a filler until they actually put the device on sale. Given that the Nexus 5 is $349/399 off-contract. I would expect Best Buy to offer it for that much as well. Especially considering they are selling the Nexus 7 (2013) for the same price as Google is. This leaked screen shows us that Best Buy is going to sell the device for about $800 off-contract. That's crazy. Just to compare that price to some other full price phones. The Galaxy Note 3 is about $700-750, and the HTC One was about $550 off-contract. This would put the Nexus 5 higher than every other phone out here. So I'm confident in saying that this is either fake or it's just a place holder until they get their stock of Nexus 5's in.

The Nexus 5 is meant to be sold at cost, which is around $350. And since that is unlocked and off-contract, it should be relatively the same price. I'm fine with Best Buy charging an extra $50 or so, since they do need to make a profit too. But more than twice the price is definitely not something we want to see. The Nexus 5 is featuring a 4.95-inch 1920x1080 display, along with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage, 8MP camera on the back, 1.3MP camera on the front, along with a 2300mAh battery. Don't forget it's also running Android 4.4 - KitKat.

How many of you are still waiting for the Sprint Nexus 5? It should be landing on Sprint next week. Let us know in the comments down below.
