The Angry Birds franchise is one of the most popular mobile games series ever. The original Angry Birds game was released in December of 2009. Since that time, no less than 8 special edition Angry Birds games have been released, as well as the spin off game Bad Piggies. Finnish gaming company Rovio keeps churning out new games and mobile gamers keep eating them up.

This year is no different. With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time for spooky masks and fun antics. Rovio is getting in on the fun with a Bad Piggies update released on October 17th called Tusk ’til Dawn. The update adds 30 new levels to the game and features a horde of Zombie Pigs that are searching for the King Pig’s missing candy. The Tusk ’til Dawn levels also feature Rovio’s official Halloween 2013 single, Shuffle & Spawn. The music track can be purchased from Amazon, too. Rovio has released a trailer for the Tusk ’til Dawn update. Check it out:

The Zombie Pigs aren’t sitting still, either. The undead pigs are invading Angry Birds Friends for a little revenge beginning today, October 23rd. Just in time for Halloween, the Zombie Pigs will be battling the birds with new Angry Birds features like special new slingshot powers. Slingshots can be changed per bird and can be purchased if you want to have them available whenever you like. The new Angry Birds Friends Halloween Tournament has its own trailer, too. Here it is:

Rovio is also releasing new a Angry Birds Toons strip called Night of the Living Pork. The comics strip tie-in to Dusk ’til Dawn features King Pig as he tries to protect his candy from the zombie hordes. The musical track Shuffle & Spawn is even getting a special edition release on vinyl for collectors who are interested. The vinyl recording will be made available on the Angry Birds shop. It’s going to be a frightful, Angry Birds filled Halloween this year.
