T-Mobile Makes it Official! Uncarrier Phase 3 Set for October 9th

Next week it looks like we'll learn more about what Phase 3 of the Uncarrier revolution will be all about. On Friday, T-Mobile sent out a tweet announcing the date.

"Welcome International superstar @Shakira to team @TMobile. Get ready, the #UnCarrier Revolution continues 2013.10.09"

That is next Wednesday. There are already plenty of rumors about what T-Mobile is going to announce. This includes getting rid of new customer deposits, which is something MetroPCS has already done and could be part of their merger. But if history is an indicator, John Legere and crew won't have just one surprise up their sleeve. I'm expecting a few things to be announced next week. Remember after they announced Phase 2 earlier this summer, they showed off a trailer for Phase 3 basically saying that they are going to shake up the mobile industry again.

Like T-Mobile or hate T-Mobile. You've got to admit they are doing a great job keeping competitors like Verizon and AT&T on their feet. If it wasn't for T-Mobile's JUMP program, I doubt we'd see AT&T's Next, Verizon's Edge or Sprint's One Up early upgrade programs. There's also another rumor I've been hearing a lot lately. T-Mobile is about to expand their coverage very quickly. We're talking coverage of Verizon's level, faster than you can blink. That's one rumor I really hope is true. If T-Mobile can get Verizon type of coverage, then I think they may pass up Sprint before the end of the year, but you know people who used T-Mobile in the past and didn't have a great experience will be reluctant to try them again.

Nothing's confirmed as to what we'll see next week. But I know I'm excited to see what T-Mobile has planned, how about the rest of you? Anyone have predictions for what Legere and crew will announce next week?
