Google Launches Hard-Cases for the Nexus 7 2013 Starting at $50

There are already plenty of colors available for the Nexus 7 2013. But how about some official ones from ASUS and Google? There was  a slip case that was launched with the Nexus 7 this year, but it really didn't look that nice, at least not in my opinion. These are the official hard-cases for Google's Nexus 7. They are now available on the Google Play store, and are available for $50. So they definitely aren't cheap. There are plenty of color combinations available though.

There's a white and red case as well as gray and blue, and gray and red. Each with a neat woven texture. The combinations do look pretty nice in my opinion. All of these cases also have built-in stand functionality, which is great for when you want to watch a movie on your Nexus 7, since that's primarily what I do with mine. These cases all also have subtle Google branding, whether you like the branding or not, it's there.

These cases can be shipped in 5-10 days for just $3.99 in addition to the $49.99 you're already paying for these cases. Of course, it won't be shipping until October 9th, which is tomorrow, so that's not a huge deal. At least not in my opinion. There is also a faster 3-5 day shipping option which is $7.99, and 2-day shipping is $11.99. While these cases do look pretty nice, I still think they are a bit pricey even before shipping. And this is coming from a guy that loves DODOcases. I already own a couple of DODOcases for the Nexus 7 2013, and I really like them, judging by the pictures of these cases, I think that DODOcase and Portenzo make better quality cases for about the same price. so take your pick. Don't forget to check out our Top 10 Nexus 7 cases list if you're looking for something different.

These are all available from Google Play now, so head on over there and check them out.
