Android App of the Week: Agent

This week a new app has been making the rounds. This one is called Agent and can basically turn your phone into the Moto X, although I doubt the battery life will be as good as the Moto X's battery life. With Agent you are able to many tasks that will make your life easier. It can also save your battery, silence your phone during meetings, remember where you're parked, auto-respond when you're driving, and allow only urgent calls and messages while you are sleeping.

Drive Agent uses Bluetooth and can also be configured to silence your phone, read SMS messages, auto respond to texters and callers to let them know you're driving (this is an editable message), only respond to your own hand-picked list, reply to those not in your contact list and more. There's also the Battery Agent which can be triggered at any percentage you choose. You've got options to turn off Bluetooth, dim the screen, pause autosync, and revert back to normal settings when your battery level goes over that trigger percentage.

There's also plenty more options for parking agent, Meeting agent and sleep agent. Making this a really cool app. It's almost like tasker in my opinion. And those that want the Moto X's functionality, will probably love this. But as far as Active display and Touchless control go, yeah you still need a Moto X or one of the new DROIDs to use that. While there are apps out there that can replicate those features, they aren't going to be the best. In fact, another Android writer I follow on Google+ turned his HTC One into a Moto X, with all those apps as an experiment and his battery was done in about 3 hours.

Agent is basically Motorola Assist for more devices. It's available for Android 4.0 and above and it's also only about 1.5MB in size. So not bad at all. How many of you are going to try this one out?
