Ingress v1.35.1 Rolling out Now - Hey, We've Got An APK!

Ingress has been around for almost a year now. Wow. I hadn't realized that until I just wrote that. It's still in closed beta, so you'll need an invite to get into the game. However the team at Niantic Labs is constantly updating the game and making it better and better.

On Thursday, v1.35.1 of the game started rolling out to players devices. The update brings some really cool features. One of the new features includes an "Agent" tab next to the inventory. What this does is it shows you your stats and level along with a few other useful statistics. The tab also shows how many unique portals you have visited, how many portals you have discovered, how many hacks, resonators deployed, links created, and medals earned. It's basically showing you your entire history on Ingress.

I haven't been playing Ingress much lately, mostly don't have the time. So I just hack a portal or two when I'm out doing other stuff. Nothing hardcore like I used to do when the game first came out. However this update sounds like it's going to be really awesome. The only bad thing with this update, it's yet another staged rollout. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting really annoyed by these staged rollouts from Google. Don't let that get you down, we've got the APK ready for you to download. You'll find the link at the bottom of this post. Don't forget, if you haven't already gotten an invite, you'll need one to start playing. Once you get one, you'll need to join the Resistance.

There's no official changelog just yet for the update. So if you see any other changes, be sure to let us know in the comments below so other agents can know whats changed in this version of Ingress. It's very easy to install the APK, just download it, make sure 'Unknown Sources' are checked and hit install when you open the APK. It's going to ask you if you want to replace the existing version, and yes you do.
