The HTC One is both an old phone as well as a new phone. It just launched on Verizon a few weeks ago, while it's been out on the other three carriers all summer and part of the spring. Right now, Amazon and Best Buy are offering the HTC One on Verizon for $49.99 for both new accounts and upgrades.
Over at Best Buy they are offering it in Blue, and White/Silver for $50. While Amazon is selling it for just $50 for the silver version. Remember the blue HTC One is exclusive to Best Buy. Talk about dumb exclusives. Otherwise it would be only in silver for both retailers.
Also remember that the Verizon HTC One is actually on Android 4.2.2 and is awaiting the Android 4.3 update. While the other HTC One's in the US are still on Android 4.1 with an update supposedly coming sometime this month to bump them up to Android 4.3. Some of the specs for the HTC One include a 4.7-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage without micro SD card, and a 2300mAh battery to power it all.
It does support Verizon's LTE and should also support GSM networks (although I don't believe it is unlocked out of the box, may need to call Verizon to get it unlocked.). It's a great deal for a phone that is still a great phone. The regular price of the HTC One is $149, so it's definitely worth it to get it $100 off with a new contract.
How many of you are going to head over to Amazon or Best Buy and pick up a HTC One? If you do decide to pick one up, I'm sure you won't regret it. Let us know in the comments below how excited you are for your brand new device.
