Sprint has just announced, just in time for back-to-school, that they are now offering the Galaxy S4 in Purple Mirage. This is in addition to the White Frost and Black Mist colors that Sprint and every other carrier offers right now. The Galaxy S4 in Purple Mirage will be available in the 16GB variant for just $199.99 with a new 2-year contract. It doesn’t appear to be a 32GB variant of the Purple Mirage Galaxy S4. Sprint is also allowing College and professional sports fans honor their favorite teams with a Galaxy S4 that matches their teams colors. Which is pretty cool. I’ll take a Maize and Blue Galaxy S4 anytime.
The Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 600 1.9GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, 4G LTE connectivity (where available), 13MP camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front, and a 2600mAh battery. It’s still running Android 4.2.2, but we should see an update to Android 4.3 in the next few months, hopefully.
Lately, it seems that Sprint loves the color purple. When the Galaxy S4 was announced for Sprint, they also introduced a purple variant of the Galaxy S3. The Purple Mirage Galaxy S4 looks pretty nice and is definitely appreciated from the Black Mist and White Frost colors that every other carrier has throughout the world. The differences between the Purple Mirage, White Frost and Black Mist Galaxy S4’s are basically just the color. Everything else is the same. Any cases or accessories you have for the Galaxy S4 will work on this Purple Mirage Galaxy S4.
You can head over to Sprint’s website and order your’s today. Or just head into your local Sprint store to pick your’s up. How many of our readers are going to to pick up the Purple Galaxy S4? Would you rather Samsung release this at the same time as the Black Mist and White Frost Galaxy S4’s? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
