Who Says a New Color Makes No Difference? The HTC One in Red is Hot

There's no denying that the HTC One is a good-looking device and while the Silver and Black versions of the device are nice enough, I think we can all agree that more choice is nice to have. Samsung have been giving us that choice for some time now, and the Galaxy S III was available in a wide variety of colors and the Galaxy S4 is about to get a couple more color options soon as well.

What about the One and its all-metal build? How does that look in a new color? Well, the Glamour Red version of the device, as HTC is calling it, looks pretty sweet in red. Thanks to the folks over at BestBoyz.de we can get an idea of how it looks in the quick video below:

So, as you can see it's still very much an HTC One but, it looks a little different - nicer, some would say. While there's a lot of negativity surrounding devices being released in different colors, it's really not a bad idea when you think about it. Everyone likes choices and color is perhaps one of the most basic options we have available to us, for instance some people don't like to wear clothes of a certain color and so it stands to reason that we'd like to be able to buy a smartphone in a different color. Sure, there's the argument that we can just put a case on our phones but, the choice is nice to have.

So far, the device is only going to be available in the UK through Phones4U and there's no word on availability elsewhere but, we'd like to think that HTC have the business smarts to release this in the states. Perhaps as a Holiday edition? I've said it before, and I'll say it again - can you imagine what an exclusive color this would make for Verizon?  You can read our thoughts on the HTC One here.
