Ever since the HTC One was announced, we've been hearing about this mystical red version of the device. It was recently confirmed to not only exist but to be going on sale in the UK soon, exclusive to Phones4U. Now though, @evleaks is reporting that the Glamour Red version of the HTC One is headed to Sprint. Here's the tweet, which is as always, short and sweet:
HTC One in red, for Sprint pic.twitter.com/lwzXaHBtVE
The image provided is, of course a Red HTC One but there's nothing to tell that this is for Sprint, apart from perhaps the 4G lettering.
Here at Android Headlines we were thinking that this would be a great exclusive color for Verizon to pick up in the States but, it looks like Sprint has beat them to it. We're hoping that HTC isn't going to follow the same route as they have done in the UK and making it exclusive just to Sprint, after all we'd all like to be able to get a device in whatever color we want.
If you've forgotten what's under the hood in the HTC One, we'll give you a little reminder: it's powered by a Snapdragon 600 at 1.7 Ghz, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 1080p display. Not only that but there are features such as BoomSound and BlinkFeed that help the One to stand out from the crowd, along with the UltraPixel camera. If you're wondering whether or not the One is a phone worth purchasing, then perhaps our review can help you?
Regardless of whether or not you care about different colors of smartphones, it's good to see more choice hitting the market. Especially when you take a look at Samsung's recent tact with the myriad of color choices for their Galaxy S smartphones. Meanwhile HTC have been offering just black and white options. Maybe we'll see more color options from HTC for the One, what do you think?
