If you've been reading my work here on Android Headlines, you know I'm a huge fan of T-Mobile and have their service for my Nexus 4. So I'm a bit biased when it comes to opinions about the magenta carrier. But you have to admit that T-Mobile has been doing some crazy things lately. I mean offering unlimited calls, texts and data for $70/month is pretty crazy right? Only one other carrier offers that and that's about $100/month, and that would be none other than Sprint.
The nation's fourth largest carrier has been an extremely hot topic as of late. Back in March they announced their new simple plans and no more contracts. They also begun rolling out LTE, in which they are hoping to have 200 million people covered by the end of the year. In fact, LTE just lit up here in Detroit from T-Mobile and I'm really enjoying it right now.
We've already heard whispers about a phase two of their UNcarrier strategy which could include their simple plans without a credit check. Now that is something that'll get a lot of attention, and probably has to do with the MetroPCS merger. We also heard earlier today that the Xperia Z might be hitting T-Mobile on July 17th. Which is just days after this event. So they may be formally announcing is then along with pricing. At least we are hoping.
You can be sure that whatever T-Mobile has in store for the 10th, we'll be bringing you all the news. I personally hope they announce that they've improved their coverage so more people can enjoy T-Mobile's amazing yet crazy price plans. What good is a $70 unlimited everything plan if you're stuck on 2G or have no coverage at all?
