Just last week, Samsung made the Galaxy S4 Active official. We'll probably see the Galaxy S4 Active at Samsung's Premiere event tomorrow afternoon in London, along with everything else they've made official in the past few weeks. The Galaxy S4 Active has all the same specs of the Galaxy S4, except it features a 8MP camera instead of a 13MP camera.
Today, we are seeing some pictures of the Galaxy S4 Active in a new color. It's in Blue Arctic/Black. It actually looks rather nice. I don't know if it's the color I'd want on my daily driver. But it does look rather cool compared to the blue, black and white colors Samsung uses on their flagships like the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3. Today's leak comes from Weibo, which is a Twitter-like social network that's really popular in Asia.
As you can see from the pictures, Samsung has gotten rid of the big home button in the center, which was one of my biggest gripes about Samsung devices. Instead you have your three buttons there, menu, home and back, but I'm not sure if they are capacitive or physical buttons. Either way it looks different from most of the rest of their devices. We've heard that Samsung is working on changing up their build quality because they are worried HTC's is better. The Galaxy S4 Active might be the first step in that process. As you can see it looks very different from the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Mini, and Galaxy S4 Zoom.
We already know that the Galaxy S4 Active is coming to AT&T in the near future. But we have no release date or pricing yet. How many of you are awaiting the Galaxy S4 Active on AT&T to be your next phone? Do you want the Arctic Blue Galaxy S4 Active?
