Rumor: Nexus 7 to be Unveiled at Computex This Week?

Here's another rumor about the Nexus 7. This time it's pointing at Computex as being the unveiling. Which won't be to far fetched since ASUS will be their showing off an unveiling their new products on Monday. But then again, the source of this rumor hasn't provided much details for us. So be sure to take this rumor with a large chunk of salt, as usual with rumors.

IBN Live is reporting that "analysts" expect the company to unveil the device during the show, but they aren't saying what analysts think the new Nexus tablet will be shown off in Taipei this week, or what makes them think it'll happen. Here's what IBN Live had to say:

Those waiting for a refresh of the Nexus line of tablets could be in for some great news in the coming week. Analysts expect Asus to launch a refreshed Nexus 7 tablet at the Computex trade fair which will be held from June 4 to 8, 2013 in Taipei.

We're going to assume that it's CSLA Asia-Pacific Markets Chitra Gopal one of those analysts, but we can't say for sure. Gopal is expecting ASUS and Acer to "showcase new low-end Android tablets" at Computex. These devices are said to be priced between $100-150 and packing MediaTek processors.

This is a report that we want to believe. Not just because we want a new Nexus 7, but also because we've seen the Nexus 7 pass through the Bluetooth SIG already. And there have been rumors of it launching in July after an unveiling in June. There's bound to be some good stuff coming out of Computex this week, even if it isn't a new Nexus 7 tablet. We'll be sure to keep our eyes out to see what gets announced and shown off. Remember it's in Taiwan, where HTC is located, and they are pretty far ahead of us. So most devices will be announced in the early mornings this week.

How many of you are hoping that the Nexus 7 gets announced this week? Let us know in the comments down below.
