Paranoid Android Beta Builds of Halo Rolling Out Now

How many of you were running the Alpha builds of Paranoid Android with their new Halo feature. Well now the beta builds of Paranoid Android with Halo are now hitting the servers for all the supported Nexus devices, and the Oppo Find 5 as well. It’ll probably be ported to other phones in the coming few weeks as well. Which is normal for Paranoid Android since they work off of AOSP now instead of CyanogenMod’s code.

For those of you that might be unfamiliar with Halo, simply think of Facebook’s chatheads but on steroids. They are floating notifications for pretty much everything on your phone. That includes text messages, screenshots, tweets, and everything in between. I used Paranoid Android with Halo for a little bit but became quickly annoyed by the Halo feature because you couldn’t really customize which apps use Halo’s and which don’t. For example, I’d love to have Halo for all the messaging apps only. Not every app on my phone or tablet.

Paranoid Android already has a ton of features that we all know and love including per app dpi, per app colors, pie, and more. Paranoid Android seems to be the only one lately that’s really innovating in the custom ROM space. They are also becoming the “go-to” ROM instead of CyanogenMod. But CyanogenMod will probably remain the go-to ROM because it’s available for so many devices, and Paranoid Android is basically Nexus only at this point officially, and the Oppo Find 5.

How many of you have been using the Alpha builds of Halo on Paranoid Android? What did you think about the new feature? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
