This week is a busy week, well not so much for us, but there's Apple's developer conference going on along with E3 which will bring a ton of Gaming news. In fact today, NYKo showed off some of their accessories for NVIDIA's Shield. NYKO is a well-known consumer electronics company. They are also the first to unveil third-party accessories for NVIDIA's portable gaming console which was first shown off at CES in January.
NYKO is showing off two cases and a docking station for Shield. Which you can see in the images through out this post. They haven't announced pricing yet for the dock, or really a launch date. Just that it'll be available later this year. Shield is already going to set you back about $350. So hopefully these accessories won't be too outlandish in terms of pricing. But at this point who knows. The dock provides all the necessary adapters and cables to recharge Shield at home, traveling and in the car. The kit includes a AC adapter, car adapter and a extra-long micro USB cable with velcro strap. It's a pretty ideal accessory for those that are going to be taking Shield with them to play games.
The two cases are full shell cases and will launch this summer. Again, no pricing was given. Shield is set to launch this month, and pre-ordering has been ongoing for a couple of weeks now. So it shouldn't be too much longer before people can get their hands on Shield. I'll definitely be looking into checking one out.
So there we have a few accessories for Shield, we should be seeing more coming out soon. Especially since Shield is launching this month. We'll keep our eyes out to see what else pops up for the NVIDIA Shield. How many of you have pre-ordered the Shield already?
