The Samsung Galaxy Mega is a huge device! There's no doubt about that. The Galaxy Mega is basically a device that Samsung put together as an experiment. To see how big they can go with a phone and people still buy it. Well we have the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3, which are now available in various countries in blue. Now Samsung is looking to add another color to the device, which is not uncommon for Samsung. Heck, they just launched the Galaxy S4 in five new colors last week at their Premiere event in London.
The Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3 is due to come in Plume Purple soon. SamMobile is reporting that it'll be coming to market around week 28-30. No other changes will be made to either of the devices, but we will see another color option soon. Right now neither device is available on any US carrier. But you can buy either Galaxy Mega unlocked from places like Expansys here in the US. Which means it'll work on AT&T and T-Mobile.
Both devices feature Android 4.2.2 with Touchwiz Nature UX, the 6.3 has a TFT display at a 1280x720 resolution and the 5.8 has a qHD display. These are not flagship devices but they still run very smoothly. It has some of the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4 features, but not all of them. So if you're looking for a big phone, but don't want a huge price tag, like you'll see on the Note 3 later this year. This is definitely a good choice. And soon you can get it in Plum Purple. It actually looks really nice judging by the pictures.
