BBC Release Weather App for Android

For us Brits, nothing beats a good weather forecast – sometimes they even predict no rain! I'm sure a lot of you – like myself – will rely on BBC Weather, it's accurate, has a wealth of English locations stored away and it's easy to follow. Well, things just got a little bit easier, as the Beeb has gone and released a standalone Weather app for us Android users! While it's easy to dismiss this as just another weather app – because it is – this is a very speedy and simple way to get current weather information on the go. Easily one of the better apps to come from the Beeb over the past couple of years.

Vodafone Have a Pair of Shorts That Will Power Your Smartphone

Vodafone – since 2003 – have been researching ways in which to charge smartphones from heat and movement. Resulting in the Power Pocket, which as you'll note above can be sewn into short shorts, as well as that though there's a sleeping bag that will do the same. The shorts can get you an additional 4 hours or so out of your smartphone, just by walking around and generating heat. As for the sleeping bag you can get around 8 hours. This is all done through new circuits that be used in clothing that convert heat into power. All this sounds pretty neat, and Vodafone will be showing these off later on in the Summer.
