Verizon Launching the Galaxy S4 on May 23rd Now?

Today, a Verizon PR Representative took to Twitter to announce that the launch of the Galaxy S4 has been moved up from May 30th, to May 23rd. This is pretty big news for Verizon, especially since CTIA is going on May 21st-23rd, and we kind of expect Verizon to launch their HTC One variant (HTC Droid One HD 4G LTE anyone?).For the most part, in 2013 Verizon has been fairly quiet. They've only announced and launched a couple of mid-rangers like the Lucid 2 by LG and the Pantech Perception. We were beginning to think Verizon forgot to get a flagship device on their network.

It's also important that we note that on Verizon's website it still shows that May 30 is the ship date for pre-orders. That will probably change unless Ken's word doesn't hold true from Twitter. The Galaxy S4 is going to be their top phone for at least a few months after launch. With Verizon being as big as they are, Samsung definitely needs to get the Galaxy S4 onto their store shelves as soon as possible. Maybe this is more of a push from Samsung then Verizon just messing with dates?

Meanwhile, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile have all had the Samsung Galaxy S4 on sale for a few weeks now - and I'm knees deep into my full review - so it's about time we heard more about the Galaxy S4 launch on Verizon. Hopefully before too long Verizon will have another flagship available on their network so users can have a choice.

How many of you have already pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S4 from Verizon? Let us know in the comments down below.
