Sam Mobile is reporting today that the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 by Samsung is going to have an 8 core CPU and an 8 core GPU. Their insider has given them some other specs too which seem to be right on par with what we’ve been hearing over the past few weeks. Those specs include:
- 5.99-inch Super AMOLED Full HD Display
- 13MP rear-facing camera
- Exynos 5 Octa core; Eight cores
- Mali 450; Eight cores
- 3GB of RAM
- Android 4.2.2-4.3
- Touchwiz Nature UX 2.0
Of course, none of this is confirmed, but just a rumor coming out of Sam Mobile. They are also reporting that the build of the Galaxy Note 3 isn’t yet confirmed or final. And last we heard, they were working on three different prototypes of the Note 3. The Galaxy Note 3 is still said to be launching in September, or at least announced by then. So there won’t be any slowing down of rumors for the Galaxy Note 3 any time soon.
Personally, I’m hoping the Galaxy Note 3 is more of an upgrade over the Galaxy Note 2 than the Galaxy S4 was to the Galaxy S3. Or people might feel that it’s time to go to another manufacturer. But that’s just me, and I could be completely wrong. That has happened before. But we’re still looking at the unveiling taking place just before or just after IFA in Berlin, which is the first week of September. Where we’ll see Samsung Unpacked Episode 2, hopefully the presentation will be a bit better than the Galaxy S4s was. Who else agrees?
So an eight core GPU in addition to an eight core CPU. That’s going to be one powerful phone. You won’t need a laptop if you buy the Galaxy Note 3, right?
