Motorola XT1058 Visits the FCC, with AT&T Bands - Could it be the XFON for AT&T?

It's been nearly 8 months since Motorola has introduced a new phone or any kind of device. We've been hearing rumors of this "X Phone" since late last year. We also just heard earlier this week that Google had given up on the X Phone project. This evening we are seeing that a new Motorola device has just passed through the FCC and it looks like it's headed to AT&T. It sports AT&T's LTE bands along with NFC. It's model number also matches some of the rumors mentioned for phones codenamed Yeti, Ghost or Sasquatch.

Last week, we saw some more concrete ties to the original X phone and pictures for the AT&T bound XFON were posted by @evleaks last week. Who is our favorite leaker nowadays, and he usually gets things right. So when will this device be announced? Well seeing as Google owns Motorola. And Google I/O starts next week. We could see an announcement as early as next week. But I'd certainly hope that Motorola would get their own event for what the "X Phone" is rumored to be. Either way, Motorola needs to get something out there, or it's going to be nearly impossible to turn a profit in 2013.

You can check out the source link below for more information from the FCC. But this seems to be a legit Motorola device. When you find out a device is real, is when it hits the FCC. The next step after stopping by the FCC is for the device to be announced and then launched. So hopefully we're near an announcement and impending launch. I'm excited to see what Motorola has up their sleeves this year, but it might be too little too late.
