Motorola Obake Appears in AnTuTu Benchmarks, Headed to Verizon?

Here we are with some more benchmarks. Now before we continue, it's important that we remind you how easy it actually is to go ahead and fake these benchmarks. But we have seen quite a bit of Motorola benchmarks lately. This one is showing the codename okake_verizon and running Android 4.2.2 with a processor at 1.7GHz. We seem to think this is the XT1055.

Like we said, this doesn't give us a definitive answer whether this device is real or not. But I don't see people faking all these different Motorola devices. Of course, I can be wrong, and I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. But, Motorola's gotta have something coming out soon. Since their last launch was the updated Droid Razr line back in September.

Lately there has been a ton of talk about the Motorola X phone, which is supposed to be the first phone designed with input from Google for Motorola. But it looks like it's expectations are too high, and some people are starting to lose faith in the X Phone. If the obake_verizon is the XT1055, there is still no evidence that this is that Motorola device we've seen codenamed as Ghost.

So we have quite a few Motorola codenames now. So hopefully this means we'll see some nice Motorola phones coming out in Q3 and Q4, and possibly Q2 but that sounds kinda hard to do. Maybe we'll see the XT1055, Ghost and/or obake_verizon at Google I/O next week. Or Motorola might possibly be making their own announcement later on this year. Motorola is definitely creating some buzz lately with these leaks and benchmarks (if they are real). Let's hope they can really deliver and back up all this buzz.

How many of you are patiently waiting for Motorola to release a new phone or tablet? Let us know in the comments below.
